Howling Tower of Ulfsey

The Howling Tower of Ulfsey

An ancient tower on the southern point of Ulfsey, perhaps intended as a lighthouse, but now shunned by all folk on the island. On rare occasions, a strange howling can be heard echoing down from the tower, but none can say what causes this. The tower stands on a cliff about 30’ from a drop of about 40’ onto the rocks and waves below.

The tower itself is made of massive blocks of grey stone, and there is no visible door at the ground level. There is a clear archway of stones as if for a door, but it is quite solid. Above the archway is carved a symbol like a crescent moon. The tower id roughly octagonal, about 30’ across inside (closer to 40’ oustide), and stands about 50’ tall (5 stories), with no visible windows or entrance.
