Alfheimur

The world of the Ljosalfar (Light Elves) – a celestial realm above which is said to be the true homeland of the Alfar of Midhgardhur. Some men believe that Alfar never die of old age, but when they grow older and weary of the world they retreat from Midhgardhur to this world above. It is said that the mysterious Gray Isle is linked to Alfheimur in some way.

Alfheimur lies to the West of the world of men, close to Vanaheimur.

Cosmology Notes

In game terms, Alfheimur is an Outer Plane.

Alfheimur has the following traits:

  • Divinely MorphicVanir can alter the plane at will.
  • Strongly Chaos-Aligned and Strongly Good-Aligned
  • Enhanced Magic: Spells and spell-like abilities with the Chaotic or Good descriptors are enhanced.
  • Impeded Magic: Spells and spell-like abilities with the Lawful or Evil descriptors are impeded.

Petitioners: Alfheimur is not an afterlife in the standard sense of the term, and as such has no true native petitioners. The majority of the inhabitants of Alfheimur are Alfar who have “retired” from the mortal world. Alfar in Alfheimur do not age or die of natural causes.

Alfheimur is home to Agathions, Angels, and Azatas (all of which form in Asgardhur and then migrate to Alfheimur).
